I know Matador type costume would be an obvious choice- but how do I go about putting a MAtador type costume or any other Spanish costume together for that matter??

If he was a girl it would be easy, flamenco dress. Ole!

What for boys though?

Quilted jacket, well cut jeans, slip on shoes and jumper casually slung around the shoulders?

Football outfit - they won the European (or was it World?) Cup. Real Madrid wear white and Barcelona claret + blue.

Or beachwear - hot weather ?!

Anything to do with Diego ???

POur a lot of rice over him and tell him he's a paella.

Black best trousers. White frilly if possible shirt, red cape. Red frills on sleeves.

There is a great costume in a catalogue I have but it is trade only.

Brilliant!

Thanks for all these ideas ( apart from solids )

Was Picasso Spanish? Could he be a freedom fighter from the Spanish War? Conquistador? Thats not very helpful is it

Diego is Mexican

I imagine some slip on shoes, trousers too short and a pink jumper tied over his shoulders should do the trick?

You have my sympathies. the DCs have just moved nursery and ds1 has a themed day every freakin month. This month's is 'come as another family member'. Eh? How exactly do I do that?

Anyway, can't be much help I'm afraid.
