Help - school trousers for skinny DS!

Our DS starts school soon. Where's the best place to go for trousers with waist band adjusters where the legs aren't too wide and the bottom won't swamp him? Preferably grey.

I get mine from M & S. They have a buy three for the price of two offer on at the moment so I bought two in the size he is now and one in a bigger size.

TU (Sainsburys) ones do and they last - my LO's are still intact and just been handed down to his cousin.

I was recommended Next flat front ones on here. They're a good fit but don't buy too long as fabric wears quickly if scuffed on the floor.

M&S!! Elasticated waist and adjusters. Wash well and look good after almost a year.

Asda fall off my skinny ds1.

I agree wholeheartedly with LIZS trousers from Next are dreadful - fabric fluffs very very quickly (and I had taken them up)

Asda are Ok (and cheap, when he inevitably scuffs the bottoms of them).

I have a skinny, long-legged ds-very hard to buy for. I keep him in shorts for school as much as I can.

I got some school trousers with the adjusters from tesco for my DS. He's a nightmare to buy trousers for as he's v skinny and tall. If the fit round the waist they're too short and if I get the next size up for legth then the fall off so have to tighten them to within an inch of their life!

I have a very slight skinny DS also starting school in September - he is short for his age too - but amazingly I got some trousers in ADSA - they didn't have adjusters but the 3-4 age fitted him a treat (nothing never normally fits him). I think they were £4. I often find when I have adjusters on the trousers they end up looking weird where it is so bunched up at the waist - so these trousers were a real find!
