DS Starts in Reception in September - 2 intakes and each intake has 20 boys and 10 girls

2 boys for each girl! Couldn't believe it when I heard - but its true, hope they haven't put all the borsterous ones together!

lol, ds1 (reception atm) has 14 boys and 7 girls in his class. The current yr 1 has 3 or 4 girls to about 8/9 boys.

It was the same in the first year for my son. 40 boys and 20 girls. I though it was a good thing if you have a ds as they would have to gear things for them more than is normal. None of the girls parents seemed to complain either.

ah so thats where the boys from DD's class are! her class is 23 girls 7 boys!

Dunno about whole year, but ds is one of 9 boys vs. 17 girls in his reception class.
I only know girls in the rest of the year, actually.

Our current Y6 has 40 boys to 19 girls. Happens sometimes. Both ways.
