Inspired by a Jackanory Story he saw. Apparently it will solve all his problems!

"Dear xxxxxxx,
I don't want to play your bad spiderman game. I want to play a new game with no kiling [sic]."

Oh that's sweet!

Think it'll work?

What is it with all the death and killing. DD (nearly 5) apparently played the Indiana Jones game with her friends (not that she's seen it) and she said she had to be dead and then the baddie pulled her heart out and crushed it,

Bring back playing horses I say.

oooooh playing horses

chonky and I used to do that for HOURS

mind you, we used to make some of the riders play kissy kissy so perhaps it wasn't all that innocent....

I forgot to mention that after he wrote the first line, I gently asked him how he would feel if someone said they didn't want to play on the tractor with him any more. (It's not this kids fault that his mum has no idea of suitable DVDs for 5 year olds)

Ds said he would be upset and sad, the penny dropped, and he wrote about playing a new game - and then we had horizontal tears squirting out and all this death stuff came out and then he wrote the "no kiling" bit.

I will show it to his teacher tomorrow. I think they may need to have another one of those stories about what to do if someone makes you feel uncomfortable.

Ds has no idea who bad spiderman is (actually neither do I). I explained that the boy was acting out things he had seen on DVDs. He wondered if the little boy would like to play "Piglet's big Movie" instead. I'll be interested to find out if bad piglet comes and kils everyone.

Bless him, he sounds adorable.

DD2 and her friends have been playing Ballet Shoes at breaktime apparently. She is Petrova. I almost wept with nostalgia when she told me.
