Looking for feedback from parents who have children at Worsley Bridge, Parish CoE, St Mary’s and any Harris schools.

my top choices for reception are other schools not listed. However keen to receive any feedback on experiences at each specifically:

Worsley bridge - aside from Ofsted, why is it not popular, have any had issues with how they manage bullying? Why is there a high staff turnover over, are there underlying issues anyone is aware of?

Parish - I have concerns around facilities (toilets in particular) being overlooked. Additionally have read a thread from parents 10+ yrs ago about the mismanagement of bullying - is this is an ongoing issue?

St Mary’s- we are not religious nor would I like my child to be directed toward a specific religion. My only reservation with this school is how additional religious eduction (not compulsory RE) is angled at children. Are there any non catholic parents which experience in this respect?

Harris primary schools - they all seem well rounded. Only concern from reading forums is how they actually assess INDIVIDUAL performance and if there are links between staff pay (rises) and pupils performance. Something I’ve read about in a forum. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Evening, OP. We saw you didn't receive any replies earlier when you posted this in the Parenting topic, so we've moved it over to our Primary Education board now, in the hope that someone here has some advice for you. Good luck with it all!

What catchment and road area are you in, have you looked at any others.

Harris schools are generally regarded as somewhat marmite- people either love or hate their ethos. I don't have a kid at any of the schools, so can't comment apart from that!

Hi catchment area information would be useful, a friend has dd at worsley bridge she has sen has been well supported & has been very happy with the school.
Harris Beckenham (school by St.Georges church) no direct experience apparently well regarded but as you say Harris can be a bit marmite.
St.Marys excellent school but if you’re not Roman Catholic not sure how you would navigate.
other schools have some second hand knowledge Churchfields/Balgowan/Alexandra nearer Kenthouse/Clockhouse area.
Marian Vian/Unicorn Eden park or Langley primary.
above info possibly useful for you.
