Hi. My DD breaks up next fri [shock}!

There is the main teacher and a full time teaching assistant. The main teacher is retiring this year and we have all put £20 each into a collection to pay for her to go to the opera. We haven't done anything for the TA and I feel bad. Was going to get her a voucher for waterstones or does anyone have any good ideas? I am also going to make scones an put in a basket with clotted cream and jam for both of them.

that sounds lovely...

a voucher for the TA sounds perfect - for anywhere really... john lewis, marks, boots, debenhams etc.

I know, I did think it was quite steep! There are 19 in the class so hopefully she will get a good seat!

Gosh. You must love your teacher very much. I love ds1's teacher but I don't spend £20 on her end of year gift...by the time we've done teacher and TA for 2 children twice a year (Christmas and end of year), that really adds up...
