Playdate help!

DD (age 3) has got her first playdate tomorrow with another girl in her class. I have been invited along too. I am so new to this kiddie socialising thing that I have no idea what to take with me?
Do I take a small pressie or biscuits or what? I only know the other mum from the playground drop off.
Also, how long do you leave it before returning the invite?
I'm such a novice! Thank you!

Not pressie - too try hard
Pack of biscuits acceptable, but not required

In terms of return time, humm, couple of weeks maybe? I tend to organise return dates on the playdate, when everyone is in the same room with diaries. Much easier.

yes agree - biscuits would be fine - but think about what type to et - as if kiddies see them they will want to tuck in and choc ones may be a no-no with the other parent - they may have cream sofa and carpets and live in an immacultate house (unlike mine!!)

I would also say arrange a return date for the next couple of weeks - say leave it netxt week, but then do it the week after - as long as the kids have got on ok and the mum is ok!!!

Biscuits good

Packet of biscuits
I would leave it a couple of weeks before inviting them back
