Year 4 school report

Hi, I've just got my son's year 4 school report. He's SS137 rated at Maths. I didn't realise how good he was to be honest.

He's rated as with all of his peers in English. He should be ahead according to his teacher but he didn't read all of the comprehension questions properly in the assessment.

I'm really keen for him to get into the local grammar school. Does anyone have any advice please around tuition? How much? What else should I be doing? Etc

We're in Lancashire.

Ok my experience is Kent but you have 2 options:

1. Get some 11+ tutoring or
2. DIY with past papers

The 11+ forum is very good for this. Whatever you do don't put them in for the exam with no prep.
