DD, Year 4, has just completed NFER tests.
Standardised scores were, Maths 119, Reading 129, Grammar &Punc 136.
I know these are high, but I’m interested to know how they are seen by school, was teachers how understand about her ability?
She’s had a tough year, waiting for CYPs assessment, frequently says she is not very good at things because she gets distracted so easily, but I want to remind her that once with the right support (she wore noise cancelling headphones for these tests), she is very very capable.
Do primary teachers pay much attention to the outcomes etc? I’m a secondary teacher, so a lot of data analysis, but not sure for younger years.
Any insight appreciated.
