Did your child get a Reception place from the waiting list?

Hi all! My child is currently number 2 on the waiting list for a Reception place at our local school. Wanted to hear if your child managed to get a space after being on the waiting list?

How many kids do they admit, and is it an area with much movement?
3 form entry in London will be very different to 1 form in a market town with no private schools nearby, from what I've heard

Agree with the above poster that it depends on so many factors.
But we got 2 places offered from waitlist.
We were offered our 4th choice from waitlist, a school that takes 17 and we were 5th on the waitlist originally.
Then we were offered our 3rd choice from waitlist, a school that takes 11 and we were 4th on the waitlist originally.

We got a place from the waiting list. I didn't like our catchment school so applied to a school I did like which we were out of catchment for. We were number 1 on the list and got an email to say a place had become available in the summer before my child was due to start reception.
