I am really worried about my son. He is just finishing year 3 and for some reason lots of the boys in his class have left (for one reason or the other) only leaving 6 for next year (and at least three he has no friendship with). Should I be looking to move him, or wait it out? I feel like I’m going to worry all summer.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I wouldn’t move him if he’s happy. A class with a small number of boys can provide a calm atmosphere for learning. I speak from experience.
No guarantees that he will be happy or make new friends if you move him.
Friendships are more important at break and lunchtimes or out of school. Does he have friends from other schools?
In the classroom he will be getting on with learning.
Please try to enjoy Summer with your DS and maybe look for clubs or activities to expand his social circle.
