Apologies if the answer is well known to everyone else - novice mum here!

Is there a limit or can I apply to 6 different schools in 6 different parts of London if I am mad/silly enough to do so?

If a schools is under-subscribed will I be offered a place, regardless of how far away we live?

You can contact the DfES and they will tell you which schools are available to you and how to apply to them. It's unlikely you'd want to send your kids to an undersubscribed school though - there's normally a reason it's undersubscribed (crap results/reputation etc.) Umm you need www.dfes.gov.uk I believe.

We have a similar problem because we don't want our kids to go to a church school but live in the sticks so that's all that's in our catchment area.
