Experiences with Mossbourne Riverside Academy primary?

I'm expecting a second child and looking at moving in to a bigger place. An important criteria is to be in a catchment area for a good primary school.

We found a house that we like that's in catchment for Mossbourne Riverside Academy. The Ofsted review is glowing and attainment seems excellent, but I'm really worried about what I've read about the overall punitive culture of the Mossbourne schools. However those articles haven't mentioned anything about the Riverside Academy specifically so I'm trying to find out more.

Has anyone had any experiences with this school? I can't find anything online!

For background, we're currently in catchment for Shacklewell Primary School in Hackney which we visited and absolutely loved. But joining the school would mean staying in our small flat for a few more years until both kids can get in, and then being stuck looking for a larger home nearby which tbh is probably out of our price range.

I’m in Hackney and we’ve had children transfer into our primary from that school citing the rigid behaviour system and also bullying (not sure if issues related). Mossbourne Riverside is the main feeder school for Mossbourne Community Academy so I think you should expect the general approach and behaviour management to be similar to the Mossbourne secondaries. All that said I’m sure that many parents are happy there and I’m sure it’s oversubscribed. So it just depends if you’re ok with the Mossbourne approach.
