Hello mums ,my son just got offered a reception place at William Hogarth in Chiswick and when I speak to others parents they are telling me that it’s not a good school,it’s the lowest standard in the area.
unfortunately I don’t really understand the UK school system, this school was my 5th choice.
do you know on which grounds I can appeal to other schools?
have you heard anything about William Hogarth school

It isn’t the best primary school in the area but I don’t think it’s as terrible as people make out. If it’s your only option then I would definitely take it for now. My children are at Belmont and it’s a great school. I’ve also heard that Southfield & Grove Park are also excellent. What were your other choices? The waitlists for all schools do move a lot, so you might get one of your higher preferences before Sept (depending on where in Chiswick you live). Also, Chiswick is a very transient area, families come and go frequently, a place elsewhere will open up later.
