Hi everyone,
We’re looking at a house on Sherrard’s Way in High Barnet - it’s about a 10-minute walk from the Everyman Cinema and off Mays Lane. I’ve been researching primary schools within a one- to two-mile radius, and all the options look really good.
However, I’ve checked the catchment maps and, surprisingly, the house doesn’t fall within any of them. I hadn’t realised catchments can be as tight as 0.4 miles!
I’m just wondering if anyone has experience with this sort of situation. Would this be a potential dealbreaker, or do people generally still go ahead even if the house isn’t technically in a catchment? This is important to us thinking ahead about schools in the next few years, say five or six years down the line. Appreciate this stuff can change but important to us to consider from now.
Any advice or insight would be really appreciated!
Thanks so much.
