When do primary school place decisions get released on 16 April?

if you applied for a primary school place through LA portal, is the decision there after midnight on the 16th April or usually in the morning/daytime?

Depends on your local authority. Ours are 10am ish but the neighbouring county releases theirs at midnight.

I think it depends on your LA. Some are quicker than others.

Very much location dependant. We had ours by email at 8am in West Sussex, but friends in London all had to wait until 5pm to even see anything on the portal.

If you add your county, city or London borough someone might be able to help with what has happened in the past.

It depends on the LA - some release from midnight and others through the day. Some release at 5pm so you have the evening to think about it if you don't get your first preference and don't ring them reactively.

If you applied online, you can log in to your local council's portal to find out where your offered. The system may go down due to heavy traffic. My advice is not to keep refreshing and to wait 15 minutes before you try again. The more it gets overloaded, the more likely it is you'll have to wait longer to find out.

Please remember that there will also be lots of usage from schools and LAs to see their lists and to be able to advise phonecalls.
