Looking for opinions on state primaries in Bath

Looking for opinions on state primaries in Bath ahead of relocating there this summer.

Our daughter will be starting reception in Sept 2027. We were planning to move to Oldfield Park but I have since heard some negativity around Oldfield Park junior school.

Thinking quite far ahead, we’d like to be in catchment for Hayesfield Girls (though lots could change in that time admittedly).
Our budget is 650k. We are planning to rent first but ideally still need to get the postcode right for school applications.

I don’t know about Bath primaries, but for Hayesfield bear in mind that it has a quota of distance-based places for DC who are outside the Bath council area (80% within Bath and 20% outside). So there are some villages just outside the BANES boundary which would get you into Hayesfield and “leapfrog” some areas closer to the school. Worth looking at their admissions criteria and past allocation statements!
