Help please. My 6 year old daughter has to dress up as an inspirational woman of her choice for school activity in a few weeks.

She could research the Suffragettes and choose one, or just be ‘the Suffragettes’. Generic Edwardian outfit (long skirt, frilly blouse, big hat), sash and rosette in Women’s Suffrage colours.

Or she could research female scientists. Costume could be a lab coat and a relevant accessory.

How about a female aviator or astronaut?

Edith Cavell - nurse
Jane Goodall - outdoor wear and a monkey teddy
Any historical queen/princess - dress and crown
Any female author - go in outfit and a notebook and pens and with one of the books

Jk Rowling?

Helen Sharman - first British woman in space.

Boiler suit/jumpsuit. Stick on some space stickers. Cardboard helmet.

First British astronaut in space actually. Dd was mad on space when little and has a signed book by her.

Just dress her like you (assuming you are her Mum, not Dad).

What are her interests? At 6 she must have some things she loves doing. I'm sure you can find an amazing woman related to her hobbies that she can find out about and be inspired by!

Dinosaurs and fossils? Mary Anning. Or more modern paelo folk like Tori Herridge or Susie Maidment (look up Trowel Blazers!)
Football? Any of the women's team
Science? Countless women who often had their ideas pinched by men.
Art? Frida Kahlo or again look modern, lots of women breaking new territory.

Etc etc
