Im thinking to send my little one next year to either Queen's manor primary school, melcome primary school or Sir John Lillie, but cant make my mind after visiting them. They all seem to have pros and cons. Can some provide first hand experience over the last 1 or 2 years?

Out of those 3, I would def go for Queen’s Manor. Although it has had a lot of changes in the past 3 years I believe it is more stable and returning to its past loveliness again.
Melcombe is a great school which has more money than most schools due to the colocated private school but its position with the reception classroom against the busy road put me off due to the pollution.
Sir John Lillie has improved massively in recent years but does have a rather challenging population (sorry).
All 3 schools are massively undersubscribed as are most non faith schools in the borough, the future for some may be unclear.

Thank you@ ChocHotolate. Its really insightful. That's one of my concerns. They seem to be joining some of the classes and Im not sure if that would be an indicator of upcoming closures, etc.
Im realy undecided and also need to consider the nursery for the baby.

Its such a difficult desicion.

Have you visited St John's Walham Green or is it too far? It's a lovely school and although it's CofE, in recent years it hasn't filled its Foundation places and lots of children are accepted on open places.

As pp mentioned, the schools you mentioned are all undersubsribed and by the time you get to Y2, Y3 and beyond the class numbers are likely to be low which will impact funding.

Thank you BeccaBean.

Unfortunately this are the 3 that are better for drop of/ pick ups for commuting to work even with bfast club/ after school care.

Its getting harder to decide the more I think about it.

Any and every point of view is welcome
