Beechwood Park vs Bedford

Our son is currently in year 2 in a local state primary. We’re moving him to a private prep for KS2 start, year 3.

Narrowed it down to Beechwood (co-ed 3-13) and Bedford (boys- 7+ all the way through).

I loved both. Maybe a slight lean towards Bedford, but Bedford will require a house move which isn’t ideal BUT as he’d be there from 7 all the way through, we’d do it for the right school. Beechwood has a new head who came across very well in the open day, really sold the dream.

Wanted to get any advice ‘on the ground’ at these two schools currently. Pros/cons or any need to knows!

To add, the benefit of Beechwood is a choice of secondary when we know our son’s strengths more (he’s still so young now!). He’d probably end up at Bedford anyway, or potentially Hailybury. whereas Bedford we’re committed for the long run.
