Dorking Primary School

Wondering if anyone could help with some information about Dorking primary schools. We are looking to relocate to the area and my son has just started in reception so we'd be looking at a transfer.

-Are schools over subscribed?
-What are the schools like? Any to avoid?
-Are there any areas just outside of Dorking recommended also if schools a consideration?

Thanks in advance

I would have a look at https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools/admissions/about-map/find-a-school which will tell you the schools and catchment. The North Downs schools are very good, but you will either get Brockham site all the way through or start in Betchworth, move to Leigh and then over to Brockham for the final primary years.

Given the area you are interested in, the main issue is likely to be transport if you don't have a car. If you are reliant on public transport then I would suggest that being closer to Dorking Train station would be a good idea. Bus and train services at the smaller stations are sporadic.
