Help! Can’t decide between St George’s & Upton house school (Windsor) for DS

Hi all,
I’m trying to decide between St George’s and Upton House for DS and would love to hear from anyone with experience of either.
We’re looking for somewhere with a good balance, strong academics, a nurturing/encouraging vibe, and plenty of opportunities for sport, music and other extras.
Any insights (good or bad!) would be massively appreciated.

Thanks so much 🙂

Both of mine went to St George’s and loved it - youngest left last year. Really good all round school and especially good on music and drama. Sport also strong with all children doing competitive matches from year 4, once a week. Check out the pupil numbers per year group to get a feel for number of sports teams the school can put out each week - it was 2-3 teams for both girls and boys sports when my two were there. Lots of outdoor space too. Mainly local families when we were there, but check if that is still true - was great for forming local friends (children and parents!)

@worklifeunbalanced Thanks so much for your message! That’s really helpful. We’ve been to the school for a tour and really loved it, but we also visited Upton House in the meantime, which is lovely too, so it’s turning out to be quite tricky to decide between the two!
Is St George’s strong academically as well, or is it mainly known for music, drama, and sports?
