Two. I have a very similar one from DD at that age.
Edited because of random editing when I put in a number!

Impossible to say. Some children can produce something like that at 2 or 3. A lot are still drawing people like that when they start Reception, age 4. Some still draw like that long after Reception.

Why do you ask? I'm guessing you're either really proud of what you perceive to be advancement, or worried your child is significantly behind?

In my experience, this is considered 'normal' for anyone somewhere between the age of 2 and 6, but if pushed to guess if say they are 3 or 4.

3, this is fairly typical for school nursery age children so 3-4 I suppose?

CookieCrumbles23 · 01/08/2025 23:07

I’d say between 3 and 4 too OP.

Doesn’t matter the age though. Drawing at any level is great and your LO had a vision and made a creation! Looks abit like minions, very sweet ❤️

I think mine were still doing the arms straight from the face at 2. So I’m going 3 or 4.

The spectrum of what kids can do at the same age is huge. My eldest at just turned 4 couldn’t write any letters, would occasionally still grip the pencil with her whole fist instead of tripod grip, and just generally had no interest in mark making of any sort. She wouldn’t have been able to do this at 4 although maybe when she was nearly 5 (she started school at 4y8m and got a lot better at pencil control after that). However my middle child who has just turned 4 can write whole birthday cards very clearly if helped with spelling and today she drew the picture attached which I think is pretty impressive!

So I’d guess 3 but who knows?!
