Have all schools had their sats results now?!

I can see people posting about them on here, and various posts on Facebook etc .
But we haven't heard anything from school

Am not overly interested in the results (DD has dyslexia so I am proud of her whatever she gets) but am just curious as I thought it would be like GCSEs and everyone got them on the same day! I thought maybe DD had forgotten to bring them home but I haven't seen a single post from parents at DD school (and some of them love to post about everything their child does!)

Nb there wasn't meant to be an exclamation mark in my thread title - slip of the hand sorry.

Yes, everyone gets them on the 8 July. There is a government portal we log into and download them. It crashes every year at about 7.30 am! But the school will definitely get them that day.
unless there is maladministration😳

Oh I hope not!
It's possible she took them home to her dads if it was Tuesday, but school normally remember to do a second copy for me (he was v abusive when we were together and still likes to withhold money/information etc).

I've emailed school to ask

School get them all on the same day. I think they can choose how and when to report to parents. Some put it in with the report.

Ah that makes sense.

We haven't heard anything yet, we normally get them with the school report.

My son has autism and emotional development delay so it's anyone's guess how he will do. In the practice papers the questions he answers he usually gets right but he often only answers about half the questions.

DD found the process really exhausting. Her school did revision with the lower ability children all morning each day then they did the test after that, so she was shattered before she even sat down to do it.

We haven’t received them

PatChaunceysFruitCake · 12/07/2025 08:11

Our school include them in the school report so we have to wait until the Friday of the week they are issued.

Got DS’s yesterday. He did really well… he really struggled to meet the standards post Covid despite me doing at the home schooling that was set… I would say he was really impacted by school closures. He was working towards in year 2, 3 and 4. Scraped ‘expected’ in year 5.

It’s been a monumental effort to get him to where he needs to be in maths. I’m so proud he passed them all convincingly. He worked really hard.

That sounds .... interesting.

Take lower ability children and exhaust them before they start.
Were the higher ability children doing the test first?
I hope the teachers running the revision didn't accidentally hear/see any of the questions before the children did the tests.

I strongly suspect this may have happened...
It was pretty stupid and counter productive though as DD was shattered by the time she took the test

I did email school to say it had been counter productive

Ahh I am so pleased for him

And I actually think the having to work hard, while tough for them, can actually be really helpful later in life. My daughter has such resilience and tenacity. Whereas I breezed through school and found the real world a bit of a shock!!

All schools received them on the same day but how and when they share the results with the pupils and parents is up to the individual school.

BoleynMemories13 · 12/07/2025 12:02

Schools all receive them the same day but it's not the same as GCSE/A Level where pupils 'collect' them as such. Most schools send them home with the end of year report. If you've not had that yet, I'd guess that's when it's coming.

menopausalmare · 12/07/2025 12:09

We were supposed to get them yesterday but there was a technical issue getting them onto Arbor, so now we wait.

PatChaunceysFruitCake · 12/07/2025 12:50

Thanks @Aspanielstolemysanity. I’m thrilled for him. He showed a side to him I’ve never seen before… he said he wanted to feel prepared and do as well as he can and was very dogged about chipping away at the CPG books in the weeks leading up to the exams. He was also totally chilled throughout the exam week, his attitude was far more mature than I’d anticipated.

Hope you get the results you are hoping for.

I haven't got any wish for any particular result for her, I am just so proud she got through them . I was more wondering if she'd either left a letter somewhere silly or they had gone back to her dad's house and he was staying quiet!

It does seem late. Has she had her report yet?

Aspanielstolemysanity · 12/07/2025 20:13

I asked school @PatChaunceysFruitCake Apparently we get them towards the end of next week
