Primary Schools in and around Wimbledon

Hello,

We will soon be moving to the Wimbledon area (exact spot yet to be determined as we are currently looking for a rental). We have been looking at the local schools online and Park Academy, Merton Park, Wimbledon Chase, Dundonald, Pelham and Garfield Primary are looking like good options.

DSC will be going into year 3 in September so he will be an in year transfer. Our plan is to find a rental around our preferred school(s) (I know this will be space dependent). We will go and have a look at the schools in person but does anyone have any insight into any of those mentioned?

Thanks so much.

I don't know the first school but all of the others are good schools. They vary in size. WC has 3 form entry and Merton Park is only 1 so have a different feel.

WC, Pelham and Dundonald have relatively small catchment areas so most people will live pretty close to school and will walk in. Your house location will determine which of those is best for you I think.

Holy Trinity is another great school in a very family friendly part of town.

For all of those schools, I'd probably be led on what you want out of your house. Merton Park houses tend to be a bit bigger but a bit further from Wimbledon centre.

Houses near Garfield have 2 options of transport links as you have the Northern line as well as Wimbledon mainline.
