Cotton trousers school uniform

Where do I find cotton trousers for my primary school child starting reception? All the eczema shops are super expensive, m&s have stopped doing them and John Lewis out of stock. Does anyone have experience of sending their child in chinos? Maybe dark grey chinos we’ll get away with? Thoughts please

Try the online company Cotton Comfort. I have used them a lot as they genuinely suit people with eczema. The thread is cotton and lots of flat seams. Worth every penny. Look for special offers.

Following as interested to see if anyone has found somewhere. I had this issue last year when DC started reception and I ended up making some (I sew anyway) but ideally I could buy some as well or instead.

Might be worth trying these? https://www.marksandspencer.com/girls-regular-leg-knitted-trousers/p/clp22388768?color=GREY

They are notionally 'girls', but you could see how they look with a school shirt. I don't think 4-5 year olds take that much notice of belt loops and leg creases.

The John Lewis ones should be back in stock at some point. I signed up for notifications and waited a bit but managed to get 3 pairs as soon as they were back. You gotta be quick as they sold out almost instantly!

I found this at John Lewis & Partners. What do you think?

Yes. I buy charcoal grey chinos from Next for my son. They look smart and no objections from school. They are quite hard-wearing too.
