Hi, I'm looking for some additional information on the school? It has a warm, nurturing feel but am sure others will know more. We are considering applying for an occasional place.

How frequently have new girls joined after reception? Or do we wait until 7+ for some movement?

We aren't local to the area and in reality would have to move. Is it a local school or does its reputation foster a larger catchment area?

Where we are currently a lot of prep schools are merging with larger groups or going co-ed. Any signs of financial stress or leadership/ownership change at St. C?

11+ results achieved by the girls is very impressive. How much of that is the school and how much is down to some aggressive tutoring targeting the super selectives?

Thanks in advance (feel free to PM)

Tutoring is pretty much universal in Year 5 & 6, but that is true of all preps in the area.

Bumping this to see if any St. Christopher's parents are lurking...

Thanks for responding @RosieW1 I had done some more digging and heard much like you about Mr Maddocks. Glad to hear he's taken on the role full time.

I had friends with a daughter there. She left last year - they had a wonderful experience with St C

May I ask if you ended up applying and got a place? And whether you like the school?

Yes we did apply and got a place. DD is very happy and there is a lovely charm to the school.
