My partner and I are looking to move house in Crawley and ideally want to be within walking distance of Three Bridges station, as we both commute (into London and Horsham).
We’ve found a house we really love — it’s at the top end of our budget, but it ticks nearly every box. The only downside is that the closest primary school is Three Bridges Primary, which has a "Requires Improvement" Ofsted rating.
I know Ofsted ratings don’t tell the whole story, so I’m hoping to hear from anyone with first-hand experience of the school. How does it feel day to day? Would you recommend it?
We have a 2-year-old son (turning 2 in September) and a baby girl due in October, so although we’re still 3.5 years away from needing a primary school place, we’re not planning to move again before then.
We’re also considering a few other (less preferred) houses slightly further from the station, which would put us in catchment for schools like Forge Wood, Pound Hill, or Milton Mount.
Has anyone faced a similar trade-off between location and schools when moving with a young family? We’d really appreciate any insights — especially around the real experience of these schools, or advice from anyone who’s had to weigh these kinds of decisions. Thanks so much!
