Are you a Headteacher?

DD is finishing P7 and transitioning to high school this year.

She attends a Catholic school in Scotland, is non-verbal and has very significant additional needs.

Her school is absolutely phenomenal and has provided a fantastic academic education (considering her needs) and pastoral care.

We'll, of course, be taking cards and gifts at the end of the year, but I'd like to write a letter to the relevant people/bodies/council to highlight the brilliance of the leadership team, but I'm not British and have no idea where to start.

If you are/were a Headteacher, where would you like those letters to be sent, please?

There’s probably an email address for the head of education in the council where you live. I’d also send a copy to the head teacher or school office too. As a teacher this would mean a lot to me.

I agree with all of these. Also send one to the chair of governors.

Chair of governors isn’t a thing in Scotland.

Perfect, that's exactly what I needed.

Which particular aspects would be more helpful to highlight, do you think?
