Could you kindly help me about infant school in St Albans

Hello everyone,

I really need your help to find and decide on a school for my little girl starting Reception.

I’m on the waiting list for Abbey School, but it’s currently full, so I need to choose another school.

What do you think about Bernard’s Heath Infant School?

Do you have any advice for me, as I’m new here?

Additionally, Skywood is full too.

Prae Wood has space, which is a great primary school, as does London Colney Primary. I'd go and see if you can have a look at both but most of the schools in St Albans are a safe bet, Bernard's Heath is a v good school too

No, for September 2025, I’m on a waiting list for a school. My older one goes to Loreto College in St Albans, and I should find an infant school near her.

Ah okay. Margaret Wix primary also has spaces for reception (according to the council website), and is an 8 min ish drive from Loretto. It's a good school too, and good facilities. Home | Margaret Wix Primary School
