Looking for Private School Suggestions – Reception Starting This September

Hi everyone,

My little one is starting Reception this September, and we’re currently deciding between Priory School and Hallfield School in Edgbaston. I’d really appreciate any insights, experiences, or suggestions from parents whose children attend or have attended either of these schools. What stood out to you in terms of academics, pastoral care, or overall environment?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Shevani,

Our son attended Priory School from year 4 until he finished education and I cannot fault them. He was pretty strong academically but a lazy boy. The support he received was amazing. It helped him that they have smaller class sizes so he was always able to ask for help and never felt 'lost'.

The extra curricular provision was also amazing. He is very sporty and represented the school in football, cricket, athletics and track events. He was playing county cricket for Warwickshire at the time and the flexibility and care that the school showed towards him, and us, was amazing.

I would certainly reccomend that you speak to them and have a tour of the school (its a beautiful school with huge grounds).

If you have any specific questions about my experience with the school, please just ask. I know how hard it is to pick the right school, but we hit the jackpot with Priory.

Em x
