Are personalised pencils embarrassing for children

Will giving my child personalised pens or pencils (that have his name on them) be embarrassing for the child at school?

Mine didn't take them in to school - they were their pencils to use at home.

Early years yes. They lose anything that’s not clearly marked. After that, maybe not.

Faber castel make pencils with a space for the name. I still have one from DC2 that was a ruler (cool). It’s now down to about 4cm!

Does your child need to take equipment with them? Most schools provide pencils, pens and other bits.

My 8 year old has personalised stationary so I didn't have to stick his name on everything. He doesn't appear to be embarrassed and willingly takes in spares with his name on them.

In secondary, yes
