Now we have allocations when do you order logo'd uniform

Do you normally wait for the school to be in touch before you order the uniform? Don't want to seem to keen but I'm very excited 😂

I would wait untill at least end of June at the earliest to order. Kids can grow alot before September

June or July. Loads of places have their uniform sales around then.

Most schools hold an information evening some time in the summer (most likely June) for new parents and uniform (and how to order it) will be covered then. They'll often have samples so you can see the sizing. I wouldn't do anything until then. Your child has nearly half a year of growing to do between now and September.

Children grow - and there may be a second hand sale coming up to which you will be invited!

Also, depending on what the school's current uniform is, they may be amending the logo'd items to reflect the maximum of 3 compulsory items in the Bill currently in the House of Lords. No point spending money on items you then don't need.

I get mine in June early July.
if your ordering logo jumpers etc I would have a look on their website as there is a cut off date to order and sometimes orders aren't met.

i found it better going into the uniform shop through the week whilst kids still at school and they have everything.

keep an eye out for the school’s summer fair, there maybe a 2nd hand uniform stall there

I’m a reception teacher and at our school we do an information meeting in July where we talk about uniform etc - the PTA also have a second hand sale at this too so as excited as you are - I would wait! I also used to work in a nursery and the children that left in August where very different in size to the children in April!

Wait until the parents' information evening. This is the time of year schools may be looking to change their uniform. There is also a bill going through parliament that will limit the number of items a school can have to 3.
You should also consider how much a child of that age can grow in 4 months.

A lot of schools will send out information about what’s happening next after the year six SATs.
