School Catchment area Bromsgrove

Hello, we are relocating to Bromsgrove for the schools, LO is nearly 2. Interested in Meadowes first school but I can’t check catchment area without a postcode and obviously we haven’t moved yet. How do you relocate not knowing with any certainty if you would be offered your choice of school? Don’t want to move and then be outside the catchment!

Have you looked at Worcs County Council school admissions page? They will have info on areas to live and catchment. They’re also helpful if you call them.
Meadows First School is a great school to send your child to as are many of the other first schools in Bromsgrove.
FWIW there are a lot of new houses being built which may alter school catchment areas in time.

Most of the schools in Bromsgrove are good, especially First schools. However, I would avoid Catshill if possible. The most important thing is to ensure you are in the correct school pyramid as that will impact choices of middle and high school. There are only 2 I think , one that finally leads into each high school. If you are in the wrong pyramid its almost impossible to change. I know someone who lived 100 yards from a middle school but their DD didn't get in as she was in a school in Longbridge. Look at wrap around options as numerous schools only offer it provided by an external source which means being picked up by minibus and taken to a church hall. I wasn't happy for my just 4 years old to do that. Bromsgrove is currently in a birth rate lull and it can be easier to get in schools than in the past. South Bromsgrove has the better schools but is more expensive.

Amazing thank you @AmusedGoose I didn’t know about the pyramid. I have been looking at Catshill but is that a bad area then?
