Catholic primary schools in Woking, Surrey.

I am undecided between two schools- St Hugh of Lincoln and St Dunstans in Woking. My son is Baptised, Catholic. We live close to St Hughs but the one form entry is a bit off putting and I worry about opportunities as he gets older, for example sports. However, I am aware they just received an outstanding Ofsted and it reads well.
St Dunstans on the other hand, has a long standing reputation for being a very good school. Does anyone have any knowledge of either school they wish to share? Thank you

When you say you're close to St Hughs, how close actually are you? I assumed that would be our 'go to' Catholic school living within the catchment area (West End) but checking the last 3 years of entry data it seems unlikely we would be offered a place. Check the historic admissions info for where you fall but i was surprised at how close you had to live for previous years:
2023- 0.53km
2024- 0.34km
2025 - 1.46km

Have you toured the schools yet? Reading advice online is great but Ive found you get much more of an insight for what's right for your family once you meet the headteacher and get a feel for place.

I can’t comment on the schools themselves but my advice would be to visit and ignore the ofsted rating. And don’t be seduced by looks.

we chose a school as it was ofsted outstanding and had amazing grounds and a fabulous building. However The “good” one nearby would have suited our child better.

Check out local FB group commentaries. Meet local parents on your street and ask them!!!
ask your Babysitter.
