My Ds is in y4, currently studying the Tudors at the moment, but looking for any ks2 content videos to inspire him. The problem is lots of the videos are very American in terms of accent and viewpoint of historical eras. Anyone recommend a uk based YouTube video like this? Many thanks in advance

I take it you've already checked out Horrible Histories?

stichguru · 28/01/2025 17:33

Magic Grandad! It's an old program - my Mum was using it with the year 3/4 she taught in the 90s, but it's good. Basically each episode starts with the two kids ask grandad about a period of life, and what it was like. He then gives them his "magic" cuddle which transports the 3 of them to that time .... the rest of the episode they explore that time period.

Horrible Histories - Terrible Tudor

Check out Lucy Worsely on iplayer. She has some good documentaries on the Tudor. But might be a bit too dull, adult in a grown up way not a sweary way

Newuser75 · 29/01/2025 20:42

I know you said British but have you looked at over simplified? My history loving son loves them!

GLC789 · 29/01/2025 20:48
