Hi! Looking for advise and reviews. We are very fortunate to have been accepted in both WHS and PHS.

My gut feeling from the open days we have gone to was PHS, but trying to put that aside and to based my decision on actual facts I have been trying to find forums with reviews of both and everything I read is that they are very similar

For both the commute would be around 15-20min. So location is not a problem

Does anyone know the main differences between both and their experience. I know I’m blessed to be able to make a decision; but it’s a tough one. Don’t want to get it wrong

We are on waiting list at PHS . Would be great to know if you are keeping or leaving your spot. Fingers crossed as we don’t have anything else!
Best of luck to you and your DD 😊

Whilst this isn’t answering your question at all (and I attended Sydenham High many moons ago), if you feel they are very similar and much of a muchness I would think hard about the location.

Both will have traffic issues, both parking issues. Realistically which one has the least bad traffic. Which one offers the better public transport for older children able to get themselves to and from school. Is one slightly better for dropping off and picking up. Do you live in an area where more children tend to attend one rather than the other?

Sometimes the practicality of the location delivers the most benefits if all other things are equal.

I would probably go for Wimbledon, personally. I preferred it.

Go either with your gut or with location- the one that is easiest to get to independently. Both are a nightmare with parents dropping off.
DD had a hatred of purple so the decision was easier!

Both are GDST schools so will be similar in a way.

Friend has a dd at Putney and they have only said great things about it.

Did you win the Wimbledon High ballot? I know a parent in this year’s reception and they said the school was just ok with some mixed ability kids (they had also rejected a PHS offer to attend).
