Reading Writing Math results and school performance

Dear Mums,

How are the reading , writing and math assessment results helpful in understanding the school performance. Could you please shed some light here, I came across these results on some school websites. How to understand them pertaining to school performance.

They are supposed to show how effective the teaching is. However they are usually coupled with a Progress score, showing how the children improved from Yr2 to Yr6 compared to the average progress. But there are gaps in the data as the tests weren't done for a few years (2020-2022?). So the progress information isn't currently available

So you can only see how the children did compared to the national average, not how they did compared to themselves.
