hampton occasional vacancy

hello , my son is attending the hampton occasional vacancy assessment. Please may anyone give me any insight as to what we can expect - currently Year 4

Hi not sure about occasional vacancy but my son recently sat their 7+. He did an online maths test, non verbal and verbal reasoning was one test -CAT4 and creative writing ie a story.

I have been told his test will be similar to the 7+ entry. Is that 5 tests your ds sat? And how long were they please? I don’t even know where to begin with prep!!

What is CAT4?

“The Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4) is a standardized test that assesses a student's reasoning abilities.”

I doubt the tests were longer than 30 mins each. I would have guessed much shorter but

Atom learning - we did all the ISEB and cat4 practice on atom

@lishpishposh thank you! Do you know if Atom covers CAT4 for 7+ (what we’re going to start preparing for) or the 11+?

We bought ours from pretestplus website but never got around to using it! For 7+ it looked easy as long as you can using a mouse/ipad
