I’m looking for opinions on Phil and Jim primary school in Oxford, Seen mixed reviews on here recently. Has it improved now? Any more details on the issues? Is it anything to do with the new Head?

Does St Aloysius heavily promote Catholicism? Is this a good school?

Would love thoughts on alternatives like St Ebbes or West Oxford Community ?
We are in Jericho but could cycle them quite easily, if they had space for us being just outside catchment area though. For reception this year.

thank you so much!

I think that you really need to visit these schools. They are really quite different - St Aloysius is religious and Catholic (if that's your thing then go for it) and West Oxford is non-religious (and personally one that I felt more comfortable with). It is only by visiting that you will know if any of these fit your family and children. Good luck.

Many thanks for this, yes I definitely would want to visit them but the deadlines in a few days to apply in the first round and we only moved very recently recently!
