Has anyone experience of the Massage In Schools Project (MISP)? Positive or negative?
Information has just come to parents saying the school will be starting this as a programme for several weeks.
I have some reservations on behalf of my daughters (9 and 6). During my own PS years a boy in my class was physically and sexually assaultive and everyone was scared of him. I know at that age I would not have felt able to decline to touch him/be touched due to explicit or implied pressure to be kind and not exclude him. I would hate for my girls to be in this position.
But I'm aware that, if covered well, this could be positive in terms of learning about what caring consensual touch looks like.
Would be grateful for anyone with feedback on theirs/their child's experience of MISP and specifically whether/how the topics of consent and body language cues are covered.
Thanks
