We've just had a letter that dd2 has been offered a place at our 2nd choice primary school for September.
It's fine, as far as it goes, but we'd still prefer the first choice. Given that it's a community primary with the usual criteria of SN/ siblings/ distance, do we need to appeal for a place, or can we just stay on the waiting list and hope a place comes up? I can't see what grounds we'd have for appeal, but don't want to prejudice our chances if an appeal would give us an advantage.
