Hi- I was wondering if anyone out there has any personal recommendations/experiences of catholic schools in the area. My ds isn't school age yet but I am starting to look and don't know anyone personally with dc in a catholic school..Many thanks in advance

St Mary's in Eltham is a very successful, happy, RC primary. It is LB Greenwich but we are talking southernmost tip of the borough really.
You need to live in Eltham and be a regular attender at Mass to stand a chance, it is hugely oversubscribed.
We are C of E - but have friends who are very happy with St Mary's

Thanks v much for your response Marina-I had heard of that school alright but as I am living in Greenwich itself I think it's definitely out of the question for me, at the moment anyway. I'm not frm the Uk originally so am finding the process more challenging..! Thanks again

St Joseph's is the catholic school in Greenwich. It does have some challenging children and in terms of academic performance is average. Our Lady of Grace in Charlton has a mix of children and is a better performing school with a wide catchment area. In terms of pure academic success Halstow in Greenwich is a non-denominational school which is excellent in all areas. Needless to say, you need to live very near the school to get your children in!
