Bromley: Private preparatory school vs outstanding state school

Hi mums in Bromley,

Im looking for advice on whether to enrol my son into a private preparatory school in Bromley eg Breaside or apply to outstanding state primary schools close to us (St George/St Marks/La Fontaine)? What is the difference in education (academic and extracurricular) between an outstanding state primary and a private prep school?

would appreciate any help.

Between that private school- Breaside not much. As a private school, its expensive for what it is. The site is small, lack of extra curricular, no swimming pool and sporting activities. Best to go to a state school and use a tutor to get into grammer or other private school at secondary. Breaside do not prepare children for private schools- the parents and private tutors do. So no point paying those fees to have to pay even more fees to tutor your child.
