Just got a super helpful guide on 11 plus prep. Thought to share some brilliant tips as I’m a mental health advocate and never want my child to feel pressured.

tip 1 Establish a Study Routine Early Consistency is crucial when preparing for the 11+. Start by setting up a regular study schedule that balances work with rest. A well-structured routine helps children approach their studies with a sense of rhythm and reduces last-minute stress. Begin with shorter, focused study sessions, gradually increasing their duration as your child becomes more comfortable.

tip 2: Focus on Strengths While Improving Weaknesses Every child has their unique strengths and areas for growth. Begin by identifying the subjects or question types your child excels at, as well as those that need improvement. Emphasising their strengths will build confidence, while gradually addressing weaker areas ensures well-rounded readiness for the exam.

More importantly focus on preparing them for life exams and not just the event (exam). Hope it helps someone x
