Why do schools have to use white shirts?!

I just needed a rant.

Who thought white polo shirts for primary age children would be a good idea?! Sure they look smart when they're brand new on. Then they go to school, do crafts, have beans/tomato pasta/curry/ insert staining food here for lunch at school and the tops are stained.

I'm good at getting stains out usually but having washed the white polo shirts today, I have 1 left that doesn't have a stain on it. 😔

Thankfully he's having a growth spurt so will need new ones soon anyway but I was hoping to pass them down to his brother.

Surely beans/tomato pasta/curry would stain any colour shirt, not just white ones.

Only 2 in my area do. The others wear blue, yellow, red and green.

Ds had a red school T shirt. For stains use neat washing up liquid leave over night then wash with bio detergent.

I just don't worry, the tops are clean, so i carry on using them even with stains

We have yellow polo shirts but they are supposed to wear white t-shirts for PE. One of their PE days coincides with gravy as part of lunch... I look enviously at a neighbouring school who wear navy polo shirts!
