Hi, we are moving into Hale Village and I wanted to ask people’s opinions on Altrincham verses Hale prep? Or any other primary schools you would recommend for an 8 yo boy? Thank you

The state primaries are all so good around there. Have you called the council to see if there are any spaces?

Thank you for your message. Not yet. Are there any you would specifically recommend?
i have read /heard a few things recently about change of teachers/head at Alti prep and it has slightly put us off.
thanks

I don't think you'd have much of a choice if there are any spaces. I live in a diff part of Trafford but the primary schools are so well regarded in the area, I personally wouldn't bother with a paid prep. Just get a tutor in advance of the grammar exams (if you want to go down that route).

Thank you that’s really useful.

Hi, just wondering if you got an answer to this? My sons attend Alt Prep as all the local state primaries were full, so I can provide info if still needed.
