Primary schools north finchley

Hello,

I need to start applying for my child's Reception place soon and wondered if anyone had any insights into the following primary schools:

Northside
Moss Hall Infants
Summerside
Wren

DD is very bright, imaginative and sociable. She's also a sensitive wee soul and I really want her to be nurtured and happy. The latter are very important things for me, having had some bad experiences with childcare in the past.

Any thoughts on those schools greatly appreciated. P.S. I am a teacher myself but in secondary.

Thank you!

I went to see Summerside and do not recommend.
The school only just about this year got the government standard of reading & writing for their students. I also think there were some past issues about this school and it looks so run down
I really liked Wren school. I'm still looking at others but Wren will be in my top 3

Thank you! I totally agree with you about Summerside! The head said some things that I found very off-putting. I get that she feels like she's in a bit of a desperate situation trying to turn things around but it came across as very unprofessional. I haven't seen Wren yet (going to the December open day) but have heard only good things. It's a bit further than I'd like but definitely want to see it! I really liked Northside. Just not many places available!

Do you have any other options? I'm going to see Northside on the 7th & St John's on the 16th of Jamauary

I left it so late feeling stuck atm!
