Hi all,
Has anyone found a way to help kids keep up with their maths and phonics through the holidays that doesn't involve crashingly boring worksheets?!
Thanks!
Laurie

Summer reading challenge from your local library? Ours give stickers along the way and a medal at the end.
Have them write a holiday diary, make it like a scrapbook with stickers and printed photos to make it more fun. Ask them to help write the shopping list before a supermarket trip, or a birthday card. Write a letter to a friend or relative?

I also find reading a book with them at bedtime and getting them to spot their exception words, or take turns reading a sentence each can help them practice in a low pressure way.

I’ve had the CGP workbooks in the past which my daughter enjoys.
