Hi Mums, I am planning to move to orpington and we like a house which is 0.7 miles from Warren Road Primary School. My preference is to get my LO's admission in Warren Road, do you think from your experience that it will be possible? The agent said that it is very unlikely that we will not get Warren considering the previous catchment records but i am feeling a bit unsure. Please help!

Pg 49 here indicates you are on the cusp. I would ensure you get an accurate measurement and check with the school where exactly they measure from. Also check they aren’t planning the reduce by a class. Some schools are doing this near me (NW London) due to declining birth rate. www.bromley.gov.uk/downloads/file/28/primary-education-in-bromley-2024-2025

Thanks @Mintearo7 for your reply, very helpful!

do you know these distances as per pdf are final ones or first list? Is there any chance for 2nd or 3rd list...someone told me that the final catchment is generally higher than the ones mentioned here as many people dont choose the allocations as per first list...sorry if this is not correct, my first time!

Good point but I have no idea, I think councils are required to publish soon after admissions day, but this might be a later list considering it’s in the booklet. I’m sure you can ask the council.
